ABOUT JOHN MC BRIDE

I've been writing and selling comedy for 30 years. My client list includes: Jay Leno; Joan Rivers; Bob Hope (I spent 6 years on his writing staff); literally dozens and dozens of standups, ventriloquists, business executives of all types, several members of the Natural Speakers Association (NSA), a U.S. Senator and a former NFL coach.

I've sold topical material, sketches, monologues, humorous essays (to the old McCall's magazine and several Sunday newspaper magazines), "roasts", song parodies, etc., etc.

I've freelanced humorous material for several ad agencies, ghosted a humor book for a prominent member of the NSA, and was a start-up consultant and principal writer for Comedy on Call, America's first "dial a topical joke" service.

Currently I write for several clients, and was senior writer for Jokenet, the web's premier topical joke service. I work well under pressure and tight deadlines (6 years with Rapid Robert Hope is proof of that claim), and, in short, am creative, funny, and fast.
